A FEW WORDS

ABOUT COMMUNITIES

STANWELL MOOR

In 30 plus years I've helped people in this village, wherever I could. However since 2017 I've been working to try to get us what we want from Councils and what we deserve from Heathrow. This page explains things that have been achieved and what I hope to achieve in 2019.

On the 14th Dec 2017, I created and lodged an WPOZ campaign with Sir Jeremy Sullivan, who was appointed by the Department for Transport. I also informed Chris Grayling, Secretary of State for Transport.

The campaign is recognised by Government. Without this Heathrow would NEVER have had to speak to us!

THINGS THAT HAVE CHANGED

*Addison Lee are now gone - *Taxis decreased and more restrictions coming - *Road repairs on Mill end of village - *UCH agree to pay for off-road parking. - *Nicky Morris agrees a new entry.  - *We are Front Page News - *And so much is being done to stop blight and get WPOZ!

We are south-west of Heathrow and west of our sister village of Stanwell. We have a parade of shops, a public house, a Community Hall and a Residents' Association led by Jim McIlroy.

Although he's never been involved in politics when the WPOZ Campaign quickly gained support and became Front Page News, when residents began to see some real wins, including getting rid of taxis, road width restrictions and more engagement from Spelthorne Borough Council. He was asked to stand in the May 2019 Local Elections. - The images on this page show what he's achieved so far for Stanwell Moor.

Jim said: "I felt l had to at least try to help. I feel strongly that some Councillors are not doing enough and Heathrow Airport has been getting things their own way for too long. I also feel Stanwell North Ward needs a proactive campaigning Councillor who actually lives in our village who understands the issues, is prepared to get out and do what it takes to deliver better services and facilities and get things done for residents.

Although Heathrow is a major employer in the area, it has hugely impacted on the people who live here and while we support airport expansion, ultimately we are fighting for a better place to live in the future!."

That is why. - Jim McIlroy is a Conservative Candidate for Stanwell North in May 2nd 2019 Local Election.

A vote for JIM, is a VOTE to get our own Local Councillor who lives on our village. Who has proven himself and will do all he can to protect our village. - VOTE JIM AS CANDIDATE ONE ON MAY 2ND! - THANK YOU.

Vote for our Village Councillor

If we ALL vote for JIM we WILL get a LOCAL COUNCILLOR who lives on our village. Who has proved himself and who will fight to protect our village. - BUT WE "ALL" NEED TO TURN OUT TO VOTE ON MAY 2 - "EVERY VOTE COUNTS!"
